Learn to Play/Skate:
Learn to play/skate is held once a week, Saturday morning at 8:30 am, directly
before the Shoreline Hockey program. This Class is for children needing to
learn
how
to skate, so they may progress to Shoreline hockey or to the figure skating
club. Cost for a six week class is $20. First Class begins Saturday, October
3rd. No equipment is necessary, and skate rental is included. Helmets not
required for this class, but are recommended. A Bike helmet is fine!
FREE LOANER EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR HOCKEY!
SHORELINE HOCKEY:
Must be able to skate on his/her own without any assistance, and get up by
themselves when they fall. Our recreational in house program is an
instructional program designed to improve skills with one practice a week
(Monday) and 1 game on Saturday. Cost for this USA Hockey program is
only $225 for
the entire season (September-March). Players are responsible for registering
with USA Hockey at USAHockey.com, and the fee associated with that is $35 for
players 7 years old and older. 6 and under are free, but must still register.
All practices and games are held here at Lakeshore Sports Centre for level 1 and
2. This program has 3 different levels offered:
Level one:
Typically children aged 3 to 8, children brand new to hockey.
Level two:
Typically children aged 6 to 12, some experience, placed in this level by
coach evaluation.
Level three:
Children aged 8 to 12, more experienced, placed in this level by
coach evaluation. Focus on skills, rules,
positioning, etc. with games held on Saturday, and
possiblysome
“Away” games.
These levels are based upon skill, not age. Don’t worry if your
child does not fit the age classifications, we will place him/her in the
appropriate group for their optimum development!

Come
skate before you go to work! 5:30 am.
Mmmmm......Doughnuts
afterwards, too!
